Privacy Policy

The General Data Protection Regulation, which came into force in May 2018, sets standards for the protection of privacy.

Our privacy policy page allows you to be informed about the collection and processing of personal data.

1- Comments

When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and the user agent of your browser are collected to help us detect unwanted comments.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also known as hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The privacy clauses of the Gravatar service are available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After validation of your comment, your profile photo will be visible publicly next to your comment.

Akismet

We collect information about visitors who leave comments on sites using Akismet, our service against undesirables. The information collected depends on the Akismet settings on the site, and generally includes the IP address of the commentators, the user agent, the referent and the site URL (as well as other information provided directly by the commentator such as name, username, e-mail address and comment).

2- Media

If you upload images to the site, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF data from GPS coordinates.

If you are a registered user and you upload images to the website, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF data from GPS coordinates. Visitors to your website can download and extract location data from these images.

3- Contact forms

The personal information we collect is collected through forms and through the interactivity established between you and our website. We also use, as indicated in the next section, forms or contact sheets to gather information about you.

In our forms, the personal data generally requested are:

  • Your first and last name;
  • The name of your company;
  • Your email address.

By providing this information, you expressly agree that it will be processed by SBSI Consulting for the purposes indicated at the end of each form.

4- Cookies

Cookies are collected for statistical purposes. They allow us to monitor and improve the quality of our services.

If you post a comment on our site, you will be offered to save your name, email address and site in cookies. This is only for your convenience so you don’t have to enter this information if you file another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.

If you go to the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set a number of cookies to record your login information and screen preferences. The lifespan of a login cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year. If you check “Remember me”, your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

By editing or publishing a publication, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data. It simply indicates the publication ID you have just modified. It expires after one day.

Complianz

This website uses the Complianz WordPress Privacy Suite to collect and record consent based on the browser and device. For this feature, your IP address is anonymized and stored in our database.  This service does not process any information identifying a person and does not share any data with the service provider.  For more information, see the Complianz Privacy Statement.

5- Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (for example videos, images, articles, etc.). Content embedded from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, track your interactions with these embedded content if you have an account connected to their website.

6- Use and transmission of data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

7- Data storage times

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This will automatically recognize and approve the following comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.

For accounts that register on our site (if applicable), we also store the personal data indicated in their profile. All accounts can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except for their ID). Site managers can also view and edit this information.

8- The rights you have over your data

If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data that we have about you, including those that you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not take into account data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.

9- Where your data is sent

Visitors’ comments can be verified using an automated unwanted comment detection service.
